| From drawing to paintings to installations, visual art in the 20th-century US has been marked by an explosion of productivity by Jews. Additional essay contributions from scholars Lee Kogan and Regenia Perry situate Tolliver¹s work within the history of American folk art and discuss the stylistic originality of this visionary American artist. The author Anton Haardt says; I first purchased a Mose T titled Tico Bird ; in 1969 and have never stopped. The strength his work is his lack of self-consciousness as to what his art is or should be. It is his sheer impulse to create, and therein lies its power.
